Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of January 20, 2019 by Joint forces operation HQ data: EMPR highlights.




(1) Russian hybrid forces increased to 16 number of attacks in the war zone in easrtern Ukraine for the last day. The enemy continues use weaponry forbidden by the Minsk agreement.

(2) Russian forces used the following types of weaponry during attacks upon Ukrainian troops positions in the north area:

high caliber machine guns - in Vilne, Zolote, Stanytsya Luhanska (2 times),

small arms - Stanytsya Luhanska (2 times).

(3) Type of weaponry used by the Russian forces against Ukrainian troops in the east area are as follows:

forbidden 120-mm mortars - near Krasnogorivka (2 times);

automatic grenade launchers – in Hnutove and Krasnogorivka (2 times);

grenade launchers - near Shyrokino (2 times), near Pisky, Maryinka (2 times), Lebedynske (2 times), Pavlopil (3 times) and near the village of Vodyane;

high caliber machine guns – in Hnutove, near Shyrokino (2 times), Maryinka (2 times), Lebedynske (2 times), Pavlopil (3 times), Krasnogorivka (2 times) and near the village of Vodyane ;

small arms – in Hnutove, near Maryinka (2 times), Lebedynske and Pavlopil (3 times) .

(4) Russian hybris forces losses over the last day are as follows: 1 killed in action and 1 wounded in action.

(5) No lethal casualties reported and no wounded in actions reported among Ukrainian troops for thelast 24 hours.
