Ukraine Air Assault Forces responds to commander Kupol’s interview for The Washington Post

The Air Assault Forces stated that the commander of the battalion of the 46th Separate Airmobile Brigade Anatoliy Kozl "Kupol" did not have permission to talk to journalists.

The AAF said that the losses announced by "Kupol" were "exaggerated" and confirmed that the commander would be appointed to a position in an training center.

Valentyn Shevchenko, the AAF spokesman, reported  this in a commentary to Ukrayinska Pravda outlet.

“We conducted an official check of the fact of dissemination of inaccurate information by the AAF officer in an interview. It was established that the serviceman violated a number of governing documents on public communication and information constituting a state secret. According to the standards of the armies of NATO countries, which are also implemented in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, permission for a serviceman to communicate with the media is given by his commander, which was not done,” the officer said.

The AAF emphasized that 100% of the servicemen of the Air Assault Forces, called up for mobilization, had undergone basic and professional training before being assigned to military units.

The training takes place both in the AAF training centers and abroad.

According to Shevchenko, among the subordinates of Anatoly “Kupol” were servicemen who underwent training in the UK: “Proper training of Ukrainian paratroopers and their motivation have been repeatedly noted by foreign instructors.”

“We should also remember that each commander is responsible for training, which is also conducted in the 46th Brigade. The officer knows a lot of people at the AAF training center. However, he never approached them or his immediate commanders with any complaints or suggestions for improving the training. The serviceman greatly overstated the losses in battles in his subordinate unit. At the same time, such information has restricted access status.”

The AAF spokesman added that the command, “taking into account combat experience and knowledge of training problems”, decided to appoint the battalion commander of the 46th Separate Airmobile Brigade Anatoliy “Kupol” to a position in one of the training centers of the AAF of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

But as was said in The Washington Post article, that is an official from Germany who anonymously said that Ukrainian spending on wars from the russian Federation is estimated at 120,000 dead and wounded, and the words of an unnamed high-ranking Ukrainian posadovtsya are skeptical, which is skeptical of being put up to a Ukrainian counterattack.

As was published earlier, Ukrainian commander Kupol is removed from his post for an interview with the Washington Post.

We also collect addresses of support to Anatoliy Kozl from Ukrainian soldiers that are honour to know him in person.
