Fighters of the 80th air assault brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are categorically against the dismissal of the brigadier general, colonel Emil Ishkulov.
The 80th Air Assault Brigade announces the removal of Brigadier Ishkulov: “We demand to keep”, Ukrainian defenders say in their appeal.
“We do not understand why commanders who enjoy unquestioned authority among their personnel, who have a victorious combat record and experience of a great war, are not acceptable to the top leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, because they are not afraid to voice problematic issues and report the real state of affairs, do not engage in deception and do not thoughtlessly put people on the path to their next shoulder straps and orders,” the commanders of the battalions and divisions of the 80th Brigade said in their appeal.
This is not the first appeal in support of the brigadiers in recent times.

He might be removed because he refused to carry out an order for a task that, in his opinion, was disproportionate to the strength… pic.twitter.com/CJEalZDCL6
Soldiers of the unmanned aerial vehicle battalion of the 24th Ragor Brigade opposed the resignation of their brigade commander.
They shoot a video calling on the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to stop the removal of their brigade commander, who refused to carry out the order, which, in his opinion, would lead to numerous casualties.
Glory to Ukraine!
Mr. Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mr. President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Commander of the Air Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, we are the commanders of the air assault battalions and divisions of the 80th Separate Air Assault Galician Brigade. We are the warriors who were the first to fight the enemy in Donbas 10 years ago, defended the Donetsk and Luhansk airports, stopped the enemy in Voznesensk, sank the Russians near Bilohorivka, participated in the counteroffensive in the Kharkiv region, held Bakhmut, liberated Klishchiivka. We have never retreated and have conscientiously carried out our combat missions, but unfortunately, the time has come when we are forced to go public.
Our brigade is headed by a professional military officer, paratrooper officer Colonel Emil Shamilovych Ishkulov, who has gone through all the command ranks, from reconnaissance platoon commander to combat brigade commander. He knows what it means to lead people into battle, including behind enemy lines, knows what enemy captivity is like, and has been awarded numerous state awards – among them the title of People’s Hero and the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky of three degrees. This is a commander who meticulously plans all operations because for him, the life of each of us is paramount. He is a professional soldier who understands the modern battlefield and responds adequately to the challenges of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
We do not understand why commanders who enjoy unquestioned authority among their personnel, who have a victorious combat record and experience of a great war, are not acceptable to the top leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, because they are not afraid to voice problematic issues and report the real state of affairs, do not engage in deception and do not thoughtlessly put people on the path to their next shoulder straps and orders.
We demand that Colonel Emil Shamilovych Ishkulov remain in his position as commander of the Separate Air Assault Galician Brigade, and we are ready to continue carrying out missions under his leadership and liberating our land.
