Russia - Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of  September 1, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.

(1) Russian hybrid forces opened fire 24 times in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the last 24 hours, including 3 times on Luhansk direction, 18 times on Donetsk direction and 3 times on Mariupol direction;
(2) Luhansk direction: Russian occupiers launched attacks with grenade launchers and small arms at Krymske; the enemy fired with grenade launchers upon Ukrainian troops in Katerynivka;
(3) Donetsk direction: Russian forces fulfilled 3 armed provocation at Butovka mine; Zaytseve and Avdiivka came under Russian fire as well;
(4) Mariupol direction: Russian proxies used tanks and APCs fire during shelling in Maryinka and released 10 rounds upon Ukrainian troops positions there; another Russian armed provocation took place in Shyrokino;
(5) No lethal casualties reported among Ukrainian servicemen in the war zone in eastern Ukraine for the past day.
