Russia – Ukraine war updates: daily briefings as of March 27, 2018
Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of March 27, 2018 by ATO HQ operational data and Ministry of Defence spokesman on ATO issues: EMPR highlights.
(1) Russian hybrid forces dramaticaly increased number of shelling and launched 47 (!) attacks against Ukrainian troops in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the last 24 hours.
(2) Luhansk direction: Russian proxies fired with grenade launchers and high caliber machine guns upon Ukrainian troops near Luhanske and Troytske. The enemy shelled with APCs and machine guns upon Ukrainian troops position in Novgorodske. Russian occupiers used small arms in Stanytsya Luhanska.
(3) Donetsk direction: Russian forces shelling with the use of forbidden 82-mm mortars and grenade launchers of different systems reported in Avdiivka. Russian occupiers fired with grenade luanchers, high caliber machine guns and small arms upon Ukrainian troops positions in Vodyane. To this end, the enemy used grenade luanchers fire during attacks in Butovka mine and Kamyanka. Russian forces shelling with high caliber machine guns reported in the area of Pavlopol, Pisky and Verkhnyotoretske. Occupiers used small arms during attacks in Maryinka, Avdiivka, Syrokino, Talakivka and Hnutove.
(4) No lethal casualties as well as no wounded in actions reported among Ukrainian troops for the past day.
