Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of July 4, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.



(1) Russian forces continue ceasefire violation in the war zone in eastern Ukraine and opened fire 22 times upon Ukrainian troops positions there: 7 times on Luhansk direction, 7 times on Donetsk direction and 8 times on Mariupol direction;
(2) Luhansk direction: Novozvanyvka, Stanytsya Luhanska, Donets, Zhovte and Valuysk came under Russian grenade launchers and small arms fire; Russian sniper fire reported near Novotoshkivka;
(3) Donetsk direction: Russian hybrid forces violated ceasefire regime in the south suburb of Avdiivka, in particular near the settlements of Opytne and Mayorsk with the use of grenade launchers of different systmes, high-caliber machine guns and small arms;
(4) Mariupol direction: the enemy used forbidden 82-mm mortars and anti-tank grenade launchers during shelling of the settlement of Vodyane; Russian occupiers fired with APCs upon Ukrainian troops positions near Shyrokino; Novotroytske, Hnutove, Lebedynske and Pavlopol came under Russian shelling with the use of small arms and high-caliber machine guns;
(5) 2 Ukrainian servicemen were killed in actions and 3 more were wounded in action n in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the past 24 hours.
