Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of July 18, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.



(1) Russian hybrid forces opened fire 16 times upon Ukrainian troops positions in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the last 24 hours, including 7 times on Luhansk direction, 2 on Donetsk direction and 7 times on Mariupol direction;
(2) Luhansk direction: Russian forces concentrated their attacks in Stanytsya Luhanska, Novoaydarsk and in Popasna districts; in addition, the enemy used forbidden mortars while shelling at Novozvanivka;
(3) Donetsk direction: Russian occupiers fired at Butovka mine and Avdiivka with the use of tank in the last case;
(4) Mariupol direction:  Russian hybris forces fulfilled 1-hour-long intensive shelling at Shyrokino with forbidden self-propelled howitzer and released 40 mines upon Ukrainian troops positions; the enemy fired with small arms and mortars all across the frontline Hnutove – Shyrokino; besides, Russian mortar launchers shelling reported in Krasnogoryvka;
(5) 1 Ukrainian civilian was wounded on the territory which is under Russian proxies’s control;
(6) Russian forces losses for the past week are as follows: 1 killed and 18 wounded;
(7) No lethal casualties reported among Ukrainian servicemen, but 1 serviceman was wounded in action in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the last 24 hours.
