Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of July 16, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.
(1) Russian hybrid forces shelled 26 times at Ukrainian troops positions in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the last 24 hours, including 14 times on Luhansk direction, 4 on Donetsk direction and 8 times on Mariupol direction;
(2) Luhansk direction: Russian subversives opened 1-hour-long fire upon Ukrainian troops positions in Krymske; at the same time, Russian occupiers fired in Tryokhizbenka; the enemy fulfilled armed provocations with Donets railway stayshion and the settlement of Novooleksandryvka; to this end, Krymske and Zolote also came under Russian mortar fire;
(3) Donetsk direction: Russian proxies used grenade and mortar launchers during shelling at Ukrainian positions near Butovka mine; the enemy also fired from tanks at Butovka mine and Nevelske;
(4) Mariupol direction: the hottest atmosphere for the last 24 hours reported here; the enemy fulfilled a series of shellings upon Krasnogorivka, including use of forbidden mortars, tanks and released in total 50 mines; Russian forces shelled with grenade launchers of different systmes and APCs at Novotroytske; in addition, Russian artillery shelling reported in Shyrokino;
(5) 1 Ukrainian serviceman died as hit a mine and one serviceman was wounded in action in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the past 24 hours.
