Russia – Ukraine war updates: daily briefings as of July 15, 2017

Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of July 15, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.



(1) Russian hybrid forces fulfilled 30 attacks against Ukrainian troops positions in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the last 24 hours, including 11 on Luhansk direction, 6 on Donetsk direction and 13 on Mariupol direction;
(2) Luhansk direction: Russian occupiers violated ceasefire regime all across the frontline from Stanytsya Luhanska to Popasna; the enemy continued to use heavy weaponry against Ukrainian troops in Tryoitske, Krymske, Staruy Aydar and nearby Schastya; meantime, the hottest spot reported around Bakhmut root, where the enemy released 3 mines from forbidden mortar launchers; another Russian armed provocation reported in Novotoshkivske;
(3) Donetsk direction: Svitlodarsk and Avdiivka came under intensive Russian proxies shelling with the use of small arms and armored vehicles; ;
(4) Mariupol direction:  Russian forces shellings with the use of mortar launchers and tanks reported in Krasnogorivka,where they released about 20 mines upon Ukrainian troops positions; to this end, residential areas in Krasnogorivka also came under Russian grenade launchers fire; Russian forces continued shellings with mortars and small arms at Vodyane, Pavlopol, Shyrokino and Hnutove; the longest and the most intensive Russian shelling reported in Shyrokino, where the enemy during 2,5-hours released 15 mines upon Ukrainian troops positions and opened fire from high caliber machine guns and anti-aircraft installations;
(5) 1 Ukrainian serviceman was killed in action and 3 servicemen were wounded in action in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the past 24 hours.
