The operational update of the General Staff of Ukraine for the last 24 hours of Russia - Ukraine war as of 6:00 a.m., February 26, 2023.

The 368 day of the russian large-scale invasion has begun.
The russian Federation is concentrating its main efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Kupyan, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiiv and Shakhtar directions.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 71 enemy attacks in the indicated directions for the last day.
The russian forces constantly conducts aerial reconnaissance to adjust fire. They have launched 14 missile and 19 air strikes. The enemy also carried out 57 attacks from rocket salvo systems.
The threat of further russian missile attack is significant throughout the territory of Ukraine.
Volyn, Poliske, Siversk, and Slobozhansk directions. No signs of the formation of offensive groups of the occupiers were detected. The enemy shelled the settlements of Horodyshche, Chernihiv region; Popivka, Stukalyvka, Pavlivka and Hyrine in Sumy Oblast, as well as Staritsa, Varvarivka, Vovchansk, Vilcha, Ohirtseve and Bologivka in Kharkiv Oblast.
On the Kupyansk and Lymansk directions, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives near Ploshanka, Nevsky, Kreminnaya, Dibrova, Bilogorivka, Spirnyi, Rozdolivka, Fedorivka, Vasyukivka, as well as in the Serebryansk forestry area. Russian forces also conducted artillery shelling near Novomlynsk, Dvorichny, Hryanikyvka, Kupyansk, Kislivka, Tabaivka, Berestovo in the Kharkiv region and Makiivka, Nevsky, Dibrova and Bilogorivka in the Luhansk Oblast.
Bakhmut direction. The enemy continues to attack the positions of Ukrainian troops. russian forces also conducted unsuccessful offensives near the settlements of Orihovo-Vasylivka, Berkhivka, Yagidne, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, and Severny Donetsk oblast. Areas of 22 settlements, in particular, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Berkhivka, Bakhmut, Ivanovske, Stupochki, Kurdyumivka, Ozaryanivka and New York of the Donetsk oblast, were also shelled by the enemy. russian troops launched a rocket attack on the civilian infrastructure of the city of Kostyantynivka.
On the Avdiivka and Shakhtar directions, the enemy launched an offensive in the areas of Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Avdiivka, Severne, Vodyane, Maryinka, Novomykhailivka, and Vugledar settlements - without success. In particular, Avdiivka, Orlivka, Vodyane, Netaylove, Gostre, Georgiivka, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Vugledar and Prechistivka of the Donetsk oblast were affected by the fire.
The enemy defending positions spotted in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions. Artillery shelling of areas of settlements bordering the contact line continues. In particular, Vremivka and Novopil of the Donetsk oblast suffered from enemy fire; Olhivske, Malynyvka, Gulyaipole, Orihiv and Biloghirya in Zaporizhzhia; Manganets and Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk oblast; Zmiivka, Kherson, Novoberislav, Berislav, Antonivka and Kizomys in the Kherson region, as well as Matrosivka in the Mykolaiv Oblast.
The russian occupiers are increasing the defense of the temporarily occupied Crimea, in particular, they are building fortifications. 150 russian conscripts arrived from the Chelyabinsk region to perform engineering work.
Due to fears of de-occupation of Ukrainian territories, the so-called city prosecutor of Horlivka, Donetsk oblast, has resigned and is preparing to evacuate to the territory of the russian Federation.
Over the past day, the Air Force of the Defense Forces has struck 12 airstrikes on the areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment of the occupiers. Also, our defenders shot down three enemy unmanned aerial vehicles of different types: "Orlan-10", "Supercam S350" and "Lancet-3".
Units of missile troops and artillery hit the control post, 2 areas of concentration of enemy manpower, a radar station, an electronic warfare station, as well as 2 more important enemy targets.
