Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of August 6, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.
(1) Russian hybrid forces opened fire 31 times upon Ukrainian troops positions in the war zone in eastern Ukraine during the last 24 hours;
(2) Luhansk direction: Russian proxies released about 12 mines of forbidden 82-mm caliber upon Ukrainian troops positions in Krymske; the enemy used small arms in Novotoshkivske; to this end, Russian armed provocation took place in Stanytsya Luhanska;
(3) Donetsk direction: Russian forces used forbidden 82-mm mortars, high caliber machine guns and grenade launchers against Ukrainian troops in Avdiivka and in the area of Butovka mine; Ukrainian positions in Opytne and Pisky also came under Russian shelling; to this end, the enemy’s shelling took place in Luhanske;
(4) Mariupol direction: Russian occupiers provoced Ukrainian troops with small arms in Shyrokino and Vodyane;
(5) No lethal casualties, but 3 Ukrainian servicemen were wounded in actions in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the last 24 hours.
