Russian forces have constructed a second pontoon crossing over the Seym River in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, east of the village of Zvane. Previously, a similar crossing was built east of the village of Glushkovo.

This was reported by Censor.NET, citing Radio Liberty, which released the corresponding satellite images. New satellite images, taken on August 19, show smoke 500 meters from the pontoon crossing between the villages of Zvane and Glushkovo.

The Russian army began building these crossings after Ukrainian strikes targeted bridges in the area.

Journalists added that these crossings might be intended to provide Russian troops with escape routes in case of a successful Ukrainian offensive.

Earlier satellite images showed that Russian forces managed to build two pontoon crossings over the Seym River in the Kursk region, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed two permanent bridges.
