Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of  November 8, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.



(1) Russian hybrid forces intensified their activities in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the last 24 hours; in particular, the enemy increased shelling all across the contact line and launched 17 attacks; Ukrainian defenders returned fire in 12 cases;
(2) Luhansk direction: Russian forces used mortar launchers fire during attacks near Novotoshkivske; the enemy fired with high caliber machine guns and forbidden 82-mm mortars and released 10 mines of hard 120-mm mortars upon Ukrainian troops in Krymske;
(3) Donetsk direction: Russian occupiers fired with unti-tank grenade launchers fire upon Ukrainian positions in the area of Butovka mine;
(4) Mariupol direction: Russian proxies fired with forbidden 82-mm mortars launchers and APcs upon Ukrainian positions in Hnutove; the enemy’s attacks with the use of APCs fire reported in Mykolayvka, Vodyane and Berezove; Russian occupeirs used grenade launchers while shelling near Novotroytske;
(5) 2 Ukrainian servicemen were killed in actions and 3 servicemen were wounded in action in the war zone in eastern Ukraine for the last 24 hours.
