Russia - Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of  February 7, 2018 by ATO HQ operational data and Ministry of Defence spokesman on ATO issues: EMPR highlights.



(1) Russian hybrid forces dramatically increased to 14 number of attacks in the war zone in eastern Ukraine for the last 24 hours. In particular, the enemy released 82 mines of forbidden 120-mm and 82-mm calibers upon Ukrainian troops positions. Ukrainian forces returned fire in 3 cases.
(2) Luhansk direction: Troytske reported as the hottest spot on this direction as Russian forces launched 5 hours long attack with the use of 82-mm and 120-mm mortar launchers, high caliber machine guns and antiaircraft installation ZU-23 against Ukrainian troops. The enemy shelled with mortars of different systmes the outskirts of Novozvanivka. Russian occupiers shelling with small arms reported also in Katerynivka, Novooleksandrivka and Stanytsya Luhanska. Russian enemy fired with antiaircraft complex upon Ukrainian troops positions in Krymske.
(3) Donetsk direction: Russian proxies released 23 mines of forbidden 120-mm calibers upon Ukrainian troops in Lebedynska and Shyrokino. The enemy  fired with 82-mm mortar launchers, small arms upon Ukrainian positions in Vodyane, Pavlopol and Lebedynske. To this end, APCs fire were used by the Russian proxirs near Bogdanivka.
(4) No lethal casualties reported among Ukrainian servicemen, but 4 servicemen were wounded in action over the last 24 hours.
