Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of December 27, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Ministry of Defence spokesman on ATO issues: EMPR highlights.
(1) In accordance with the new Minsk aggrements starting from December 23,2017 regime of the Christmass/New Year ceasefire has been established all across the front line in the war zone in eastern Ukraine;
(2) Russian hybrid forces fired 6 times upon Ukrainian troops positions for the past 24 hours, including 5 times on Luhansk direction and 1 time on Donetsk direction;
(3) Luhansk direction: Russian occupiers launched 1 hour long attacks in Luhanske with the use of forbidden 82-mm mortars and high caliber machine guns and released 23 mines upon Ukrainian troops position; another Russian armed provocation took place in Novoluhanske, Zolote and Stanytsya Luhanska;
(4) Donetsk direction: Russian proxies fired with small arms upon Ukrainian positions in Butovka mine;
(5) 1 Ukrainian serviceman was killed in action (around Butovka mine) and 5 Ukrainian servicemen were wounded in action (in the area of Zolote, Novoluhanske, Luhanske and Vodyane) in the war zone in eastern Ukraine for the last 24 hours.
