The aggressor country, disguised as peacekeepers, proposes to introduce its regular troops to Donbass, Yury Kasyanov says in his interview to Gordon. Ukrainian volunteer believes that introduction of the UN peacekeeping mission only “preserves” Russian conflict in eastern Ukraine.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko depends on Russian President Vladimir Putin, therefore he can not but pay attention to his statements on the possible introduction of UN peacekeepers to Donbass.
“Poroshenko can not help paying attention to what Putin says, because he depends on him, just like Ukraine under President Poroshenko is dependent on Putin, and all these statements that we have nothing to do with Russia, do not buy Russian gas and energy resources are lies, and our trade turnover is only growing, we see that the entire policy of the president of Ukraine is aimed only at preventing any possible offence to Kremlin”- volunteer said.
Yury Kasyanov believes that the introduction of UN peacekeepers to Donbass is not in the interests of Ukraine. “In general, it’s strange: what does the president of Ukraine do at a gathering (the 14th annual meeting of the Yalta European Strategy (YES)) at Pinchuk’s (businessman Viktor Pinchuk), who not so long ago offered to rent Crimea to Russia.

Although Poroshenko is the same “patriot” of our country as Pinchuk, they are oligarchs, that’s why they think first of all about their pocket, for them patriotism is where there is a profit.

“As for the peacekeeping mission, I think , that it should not exist in Donbas, and it can not even be talked about. It is obvious to the whole world that Ukraine is dealing with aggression from Russia. The UN peacekeepers are only going to mothball the conflict in Donbass, and some of them will come from Russia. “The aggressor country, under the guise of peacekeepers, proposes to introduce its regular troops to Donbass, it’s just nonsense,” Kasyanov stressed.
On September 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the presence of UN peacekeepers would benefit the resolution of the conflict in eastern Ukraine. He called for peacekeeping troops to be located on the contact line of the parties and “on no other territories.”
The representative of Kyiv in the trilateral contact group for the peaceful settlement of the situation in Donbass, Irina Gerashchenko rejected this idea, explaining that the contact line is not a Ukrainian border, so there can not be peacekeeping forces. On the same day, Russia submitted a draft resolution to the UN Security Council for consideration on this issue.
On September 11, in a conversation with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Putin admitted that an armed UN mission could be in Donbass conflict region and not only on the contact line. At the same time, Russian president believes that UN peacekeepers should deal with the protection of OSCE observers only.
The US State Department stated that the mandate of UN peacekeepers should extend to the entire occupied territory of Donbass right up to the border with the Russian Federation.
On September 20, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko presented his vision of the peacekeeping mission in Donbass during session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
According to the head of state, Ukraine and Russia are gradually coming to understand that the UN peacekeeping mission should be deployed throughout Donbass, including the occupied territories.
