Former commander Emil Ishkulov reveals truth behind his removal and alleged promotion

Former commander of the 80th Air Assault Brigade Emil Shamilovych Ishkulov stated that people were lied to about his promotion and that he was removed because he refused to carry out an unrealistic task.

This was informed by Serhiy Pogrebetskyi.

“I was told, ‘You probably need to rest,'” Ishkulov said.

He effectively confirmed unofficial information that he was removed for refusing to carry out an unrealistic task set by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Syrskyi.

“Unit commanders of the brigade are dissatisfied with the highest leadership’s decision to remove me.

They partially have information about the task ahead of them and know about the unrealistic nature of this task,” Ishkulov said, commenting on the brigade’s demand not to remove him.

The former brigade commander also refuted claims that he was promoted.

“What kind of promotion?.. Now, my deputy has taken the position of brigade commander. Meanwhile, I am moving to his position – deputy chief of intelligence,” he explained.

To remind, Soldiers of the unmanned aerial vehicle battalion of the 24th Ragor Brigade opposed the resignation of their brigade commander.

They shoot a following video calling on the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to stop the removal of their brigade commander, who refused to carry out the order, which, in his opinion, would lead to numerous casualties.
