Ukrainian drones struck two Russian airfields: Shaikovka and Kubinka

Ukrainian attack drones struck two Russian airfields – Shaikovka and Kubinka.

They are located in the Kaluga and Moscow regions, respectively, reports the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation.

According to the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Andrii Kovalenko, the Shaikovka airfield in the Kaluga region and the Kubinka airbase in the Moscow region were attacked. He reported this on his Telegram channel.

According to Kovalenko, the target of the attack on Shaikovka was the Tu-22M3 bomber and missiles, including Kh-22, that are based on the airfield. This airfield is of strategic importance for Russian aviation.

As for the Kubinka airbase, according to the NSDC representative, Su-27 and MiG-29 aircraft and several aviation regiments are stationed. This airbase is also known for hosting air shows.

There is currently no official information regarding these incidents from the Russian side. The circumstances and consequences of the attacks remain unknown.
