Today, June 13, 2023 the following official information on the Ukraine counter offensive became public.
We are advancing in several directions, – the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine informs.
In the course of the offensive operation, during the past day, Ukrainian troops advanced on:
- 250 m in the direction of Bakhmut in the area of the Berkhiv Reservoir;
- on 200 m in Toretsk direction;
- from 0.5 to 1 km in Berdyansk direction; the area of the territory taken under control was up to 3 sq.
- Ukrainian troops also advanced 8 square kilometers in the Zaporizhzhia direction.
The enemy is doing everything to keep the positions captured by him. Actively uses assault and army aviation, conducts intense artillery fire. During the offensive, our troops encounter continuous minefields, which are combined with anti-tank ditches. All this is combined with constant counterattacks by enemy units on armored vehicles and the massive use of ATGMs and kamikaze drones.
The settlement of Makarivka, Donetsk oblast have been liberated from the russian forces occupation.
“As of now, we have offensive operations in several directions. At the same time, we also have defensive operations, because the enemy is attacking in several directions, so the situation is heterogeneous. Where we are attacking is the Bakhmut direction. The east is generally the epicenter of hostilities. Advances are taking place in the Bakhmut direction, at the same time, there are fierce battles,” – the MoD deputy head Hanna Malyar said.
According to her, the russian troops simply do not surrender. In particular, due to the weather factor, and a number of other factors “which at some point can help, and at some point hinder.”
In the evening, official report says that almost four russian companies were destroyed in the Tavriya direction during the day.
Also, 33 units of the russian military equipment were destroyed or damaged.
In particular, a Ka-52 helicopter, 6 tanks, 4 BMP units, 3 MTLB, 2C19 Msta-S self-propelled howitzer, 2A65 Msta-B howitzer, 2C1 Gvozdyka self-propelled gun, 2C3 Acacia self-propelled missile defense system, Tor anti-aircraft missile system, “Buk-M2” air defense system, “Orlan-10” UAV, “Lastivka-M” UAV.
Battles are currently ongoing in the following districts:
- Mala Tokmachka,
- Novodanilivka, near Makarivka in the Orihiv direction;
- Mariinka, Donetsk direction;
- Yagidne, in Bakhmut direction;
- Vesele, in Lyman direction;
- Vasylivka, Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
It is also know, that during this day the following russian forces position were hit by the Armed Forces of Ukraine:
- occupied Luhansk,
- occupied Tokmak, Donetsk oblast.
- occupied Mykhailivka, Zaporizhzhia Oblast,
- occupied Berdyansk, Zaporizhzhia oblast,
- occupied Makiivka, Donetsk Oblast.
