Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of July 2, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.
(1) Russian hybrid forces actions in the war zone in eastern Ukraine intensified for the last day and fullfilled in total 25 attacks upon Ukrainian troops positions. In particular, they opened fire 4 times on Luhansk direction, 13 times on Donetsk direction and 8 times on Mariupol direction;
(2) Luhansk direction: Russian occupiers opened fire from forbidden 152-m artillery and mortars upon Ukrainian positions in Krymske; Russian shellings with grenade launchers and small arms reported in Stanytsya Luganska and Schastya;
(3) Donetsk direction: the enemy used grenade launchers, APCs and mortars while shelling the settlement of Luhanske; Russian occupiers opened fire with small arms upon Ukrinian positions in Butovka mine; Russian mortar shelling reported in Avdiivka and Pisky;
(4) Mariupol direction: the most tense situation reported on this direction as the enemy released more than a hundred shells upon Ukrainian troops positions; in particular, Russian hybrid forces released up to 10 shells from tanks upon Ukrainian positions in Krasnogorivka; Russian powerful shelling took place in Vodyane, where the enemy released 60 mines upon Ukrainian troops; besides, Russian artillery shelling reported in Shyrokino, while mortar shelling in Hnutove; Russian occupeirs also fulfilled attack with the use of grenade launcher fire in Lebedynske;
(5) 2 Ukrainian servicemen were killed in action and 3 were wounded in action n in the war zone in eastern Ukraine for the past 24 hours.
