Russia – Ukraine war updates: daily briefings as of January 11, 2018

Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of  January 11, 2018 by ATO HQ operational data and Ministry of Defence spokesman on ATO issues: EMPR highlights.



(1) Russian hybrid forces launched 6 attacks against Ukrainian troops positions in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the past 24 hours; Ukrainian forces returned fire in 1 case;
(3) Luhansk direction: RSvitlodarska line reported as the hosstest spot on this direction as the enemy actively used forbidden mortar systems against Ukrainian defenders there; Russian occupiers also launched 1,5 hours-long mortar shelling and released 10 mines of 120-mm caliber and 15 mines of 82-mm caliber upon Ukrainian troops positions near Novoluhanske; 3 Russian armed provocations reported in the outskirts of Luhanske; 9-hours-long Russian shelling with mortars and high caliber machine guns reported in Troyitske, where the enemy released in total 12 mines of 120-mm caliber and 12 mines of 82-mm caliber upon Ukrainian troops positions;
(4) Donetsk and Mariupol directions: Russian proxies sheling with the use of automatic easel grenade launchers took place near Verkhnyotoretske and Butovka mine; ;
(5) Russian UAV has been spotted over the Ukrainian settlement of Novgorodske;
(6)  3 Ukrainian servicemen were killed in action (2 in the area of Pisky and 1 near Novoluhanske) and 4 servicemen were wounded in actions (near Novoluhanske, Verkhnyotoretske and Butovka mine) for thelast 24 hours in the war zone in eastern Ukraine.
