Ukraine war updates on March 14, 2016 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights
(1) Russian armed forces and militants decrease number of attacks upon Ukrainian troops in the warzone in eastern Ukraine over last day: fired 44 times, 38 of them in Donetsk direction, 5 times on Mariupol direction and 1 time on Luhansk direction;
(2) Luhansk direction: Russian enemy violated ceasefire regime once in Novotoshyvsky distict and opened fire from 82-mm mortar launchers upon Ukrainain positions there;
(3) Donetsk direction: Russian forces opened fire several times upon Ukrainain positions on Svytlodarska line from small arms and grenade launchers; at the same time, tense mortart attacks from 82-mm and 120-mm mortars against Ukrainain troops fulfilled by the enemy in the area of Zaytseve; Ukrainian positions in the settelements of Mayorsk, Novgorodskiy and Verkhnyotoretskiy came under Rissian fire as well; the hottest combats continue in Avdyivka, where Russian forces fired from mortarts and 122-mm howitzers all day long; Russian forces conduct their attacks from the residential areas of Spartak, Yakovlyvka and Yasynuvata; tesne atmosphere remains in Pisky and Krasnogoryvka, where Ruissian forces fired with mortar launchers; also the enemy used sniper fire in Opytne; to conclude, heavy arms were used in 50% of Russian armed forces attacks against Ukrinain troops during the last day on Donetsk direction;
(4) Mariupol direction: the enemy fulfilled several attacks in Maryinka; Russian proxies violated ceasefire in Novotroytsky and Starognativka with the use of grenades, heavy machine guns and small arms;
(5) 1 Ukrainian serviceman was killed in action in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the last 24 hours and 1 serviceman was wounded in action.
