Russia – Ukraine war updates: daily briefings as of June 30, 2017

Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of June 30, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.

(1) Russian hybrid forces increased number of shellings in the war zone in eastern Ukraine to 22 times over the last 24 hours. In particular, the enemy opened fire upon Ukrainian troops positions 2 times on Luhansk direction, 12 times on Donetsk direction and 8 times on Mariupol direction;

(2) Luhansk direction: Russian hybrid forces fulfilled several shellings upon Ukrainian troops positions in Schastya na Popasna and released 20 mines of different calibers; it worth mentioned that OSCE SMM representative office came under Russian shelling in Popasna;

(3) Donetsk direction: Russian occupiers intensified activities in Avdiivka area; the enemy actively used hard weaponry there and in Kamyanka as well, in particular, artillery and tanks; Russian forces released in total, 10 artillery shells, 40 shells from tanks and 100 mines upon Ukrainian troops positions on along the frontline Kamyanka – Avdiivka – Butovka mine; to this end, one Russian attack reported at Svitlodarska line with the use of APCs and renade launchers fire;

(4) Mariupol direction: Russian forces continue shelling all along the Pavlopol – Vodyane frontline with the use of grenade launchers of different systems, automatic guns and APCs fire; 

(5) 5 Russian occupiers killed and 23 wounded in actions over the last week in the war zone;

(6) 1 Ukrainian serviceman was killed in action and 6 Ukrainian servicemen were wounded in action  in the war zone in southeast Ukraine over the last 24 hours.
