Ukrainian girl punk rock band The Sixsters will take part in the legendary Glastonbury Festival on June 22-25 in Great Britain.
Glastonbury Festival is the biggest British music event held since 1970. The festival has featured such performers as Coldplay, Gorillaz, Metallica, Foo Fighters, U2, Red Hot Chili Peppers.
This year, the following grandees of modern music are listed in the program: Elton John, Lana Del Rey, Arctic Monkeys. And for the first time in the history of the festival, the young Ukrainian band The Sixsters will participate in it.
The Sixsters is a band consisting of five talented teenage girls united by their love of music. They perform original songs in punk rock style. The girls have already managed to impress the audience with their performances at the most prestigious festivals of Ukraine: Faine Misto, Zkahid Fest, Taras Bulba Fest, "Black Sea Games". In 2020, together with the indie band Johnny Rides, they won the all-Ukrainian competition #Helloукраїнашукаєталанти held by the popular band "Antytila" with the support of the TRC Ukraina.
Due to Russia’s full-scale war, the girls have been forced to leave for Germany, where they continue their creative work. In particular, they managed to release an English-language album, shoot six video for their songs from the new album, and participate in the largest German festival - Open Flair.
The Sixsters will present a new song in the near future.
