On the night of July 7, 2023, russian occupation forces attacked Ukraine with Iranian shahed drones from the southeast, namely the city of Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Krasnodar Territory, russian Federation. In total, 18 shahed drones launches were recorded. As a result of the combat work of the Ukrainain air defense, 12 sdrones were destroyed.
Over the past day, the russian Federation launched missile attacks on Ukraine with 11 Kalibr cruise missiles, 7 of which were destroyed by anti-aircraft missile units and Air Force aircraft, 3 Kalibr missiles hit the city of Lviv and 1 missile hit a private house in Cherkassy region.
Unfortunately, as a result of the russian terrorist attacks on Lviv, 10 civilians were killed, and more than 35 were injured of various degrees of severity. More than 35 houses, more than 250 apartments were damaged and destroyed, 10 dormitories, a children’s home, two higher education institutions and other civil infrastructure.
In addition, the enemy carried out 57 airstrikes, 4 of which were by Iranian shahed drones. All 4 kamikaze drones were destroyed by the Ukrainian air defense.
Also, the occupiers fired 67 rounds from rocket launchers. In particular, the russian army shelled peaceful settlements in the Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kherson regions.
The probability of launching missile and air strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains very high.
The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Mariinka directions – 30 combat clashes took place during the past day.
In the Volyn and Poliske directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly. No signs of formation of enemy offensive groups were detected. Certain units of the Armed Forces of Belarus perform tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.
In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy carried out an airstrike in the Gatysh district of the Kharkiv region. During the day, he carried out mortar and artillery attacks on more than 15 settlements, in particular in the districts of Stari Virky, Iskryskivshchyna, Katerynivka, Zapsilya of the Sumy region and Cherneshchyna, Odnorobivka, Hoptivka of the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupyansk direction, our soldiers are firmly holding the defense. The settlements of Krasne Pershe, Figolivka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne and Kislivka of the Kharkiv region were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar attacks.
In the Lyman direction, during the day, with the support of aviation, the enemy made attempts to dislodge our troops from their occupied positions in the area west of Karmazynivka, Luhansk region, without success. the enemy aslo carried out airstrikes near Karmazynivka and Nevsky in the Luhansk region and Terni, Ivanovka and Fedorivka in the Donetsk region. More than 15 settlements, including Nevske, Belogorivka of the Luhansk region, and Verkhnokamianske, Berestov, and Rozdolivka of the Donetsk region, were hit by artillery fire.
In the direction of Bakhmut, under heavy fire from the enemy’s aircraft and artillery, our defenders successfully repelled the enemy’s attacks in the area of Berkhivka, Donetsk region. The enemy carried out an air strike in the Ivanovo area. At the same time, the Ukrainian soldiers continue to conduct offensive actions south and north of the city of Bakhmut. In the Klishchiivka region, they have partial success, they are established at the achieved boundaries. More than 20 settlements, including Vasyukivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Oleksandro-Shultine, Bila Gora and Diliivka of the Donetsk region, were affected by the russian artillery shelling.
In the Avdiivka direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the advance of russian troops in the Pervomaysky area of the Donetsk region. The russian occupiers carried out airstrikes in the Novokalynovy and Avdiivka districts of the Donetsk region. At the same time, the enemy fired artillery at more than 15 settlements, including Keramik, Zhelane, Berdychi, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, and Karlivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Mariinka direction, under enemy artillery fire, our defenders repelled all enemy attacks in the area of the city of Mariinka. The enemy launched an air strike near Krasnohorivka. The russian invaders shelled more than 10 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Georgiivka, Maksimilianivka, Gostre, Maryinka and Pobeda of the Donetsk region.
In the Shakhtarsky direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the Novomykhailivka area of the Donetsk region. The russian troops made an air strike near Vugledar. They also shelled more than 15 settlements, including Blagodatne, Vugledar, Zolota Niva, Shakhtarske, and Velika Novosilka of the Donetsk region.
In the Zaporizhia and Kherson directions, the russian occupiers are concentrating their main efforts on preventing the advance of our troops. They carried out airstrikes in the areas of settlements of Velika Novosilka, Donetsk region; the settlements of Novodarivka, Chervona Krynytsia, Novodanilivka of the Zaporizhzhia region and Zmiivka, Dachi and Komysany of the Kherson region. They also carried out artillery shelling of more than 30 settlements, among them Malynivka, Gulyaipole, Zaliznychne, Yehorivka, Mala Tokmachka of the Zaporizhzhia region; Manganetsk community of Dnipropetrovsk region; Golden Beam, Sadov, Antonivka, Priozerne of Kherson region and the city of Kherson.
At the same time, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions, are entrenched at the reached boundaries, and carry out counter-battery countermeasures.
The russian occupiers cynically continue to violate the norms of international humanitarian law and use children’s institutions in temporarily occupied settlements to accommodate their troops, with the aim of using the civilian population as human shields. Thus, in the settlement of Novopetrivka, Berdyansk district, Zaporizhzhia region, on the territory of the building of the “Vesna” children’s sanatorium, russian servicemen set up a military base, where there are more than 800 russian servicemen and dispersed russian military equipment in close proximity to the residential buildings of local residents.
In the settlements of Chumakivka, Kherson region, the russian occupiers converted the “Iva” recreation center into a military commandant, interrogate and torture patriotic citizens of Ukraine.
Over the past day, the aviation of the Defense Forces of Ukraine made 8 strikes on enemy personnel concentration areas and 1 on the enemy’s anti-aircraft missile complex.
During the past day, units of missile troops and artillery hit 1 area of concentration of enemy manpower, weapons and military equipment, 1 ammunition depot, 6 artillery pieces in firing positions and 3 radio-electronic warfare stations of the occupiers.
In total, our soldiers eliminated 510 Russian invaders, 2 tanks, 12 armored combat vehicles, 20 artillery systems, one anti-aircraft missile system, 4 air defense vehicles, 17 operational-tactical UAVs, 10 vehicles and 7 units of special equipment.
