Russia – Ukraine war updates: daily briefings as of August 28, 2017

Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of  August 28, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.

(1) Russian hybrid forces violated ceasefire regime 21 times in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the last 24 hours, including 10 times on Donetsk direction and 11 times on Mariupol direction;

(2) Luhansk direction: No cases of ceasefire regime violation by the Russian occupiers reported on this direction;

(3) Donetsk direction: Russian troops fired all across the front line over the clock, exept of Donetsk airport area; Russian mortar attack as well as a series of shelling with small arms took place in Avdiivka industrial area; the enemy also violated ceasefire and shelled upon Ukrainian troops positions at Svitlodarska line and Horlivka area;

(4) Mariupol direction: Russian proxies fired all day long upon Ukrainian positions in Vodyane area with the use of small arms; the enemy also violated ceasefire regime in Bogdanivka, Hnutove and Lebedynske;

(5) No lethal casualties reported among Ukrainian servicemen in the war zone in eastern Ukraine for the last 24 hours.
