A girl rescued from occupation gifted a photo to German Foreign Minister Baerbock

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock met and spoke with Ukrainian children who had been abducted by the Russians from occupied territories and were later successfully returned.

One of the girls gave the minister a commemorative photo.

This was reported by Save Ukraine.

Among the children was a girl named Dayana, whom Baerbock first met a year and a half ago during her initial visit to the center. During their recent meeting, the minister was gifted a commemorative photo from that encounter.

The minister also met with those who were recently rescued to learn more about Russia’s strategy of abduction, indoctrination, and militarization of Ukrainian children.

It is also worth noting that in March 2025, the German government nominated Annalena Baerbock for the position of President of the UN General Assembly. Baerbock personally heard the testimonies of children about Russia’s crimes, including abduction, the destruction of Ukrainian identity, and attempts to turn boys into soldiers.

As a reminder, at the end of March, as part of the Bring Kids Back UA initiative, three more Ukrainian children were successfully returned from the temporarily occupied territory.
