The accession to the International Renewable Energy Agency IRENA will allow Ukraine to request preferential loans for “green” projects from Abu Dhabi Development Fund.

A member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Fuel and Energy, Nuclear Policy and Nuclear Safety, Natalia Katser-Buchkovskaya, a People's Deputy from the People's Front, states this during the visit of the Ukrainian delegation to the 8th Assembly of IRENA in Abu Dhabi.
"Participation of Ukraine in IRENA will qualify for preferential loans of 1-2% for a term of up to 20 years, as well as to keep pace with global innovations and receive valuable recommendations regarding legislative activity in the field of renewable energy," Katser-Buchkovskaya said.
She noted that, in addition, joining Ukraine to IRENA will enable investment to be invoked along with 150 member-states of this organization.
"Participation in the meeting at the 8th Assembly of Irena is important for further integration of Ukraine into this organization and establishment of effective cooperation between Ukraine and the member states of IRENA," the People's Deputy noted.
Earlier, the President approved the accession of Ukraine to the International Renewable Energy Agency IRENA.
