Telegram Channel Ukrainian Tennis: about men’s tennis

Our statement, a cry from the heart — call it what you will…

Almost a day has passed since the tragedy in Kryvyi Rih, where Russian missiles killed 9 children. The youngest of them was three years old… The video of the attempt to save him has spread across the world… There were many videos and photos from the scene. Brutal videos and photos…

Of all the active players in Ukrainian men’s tennis, of all the members of the national team, the number who shared anything about this on their pages is: none.

All our guys who, for understandable reasons, cannot return home to Ukraine continue to compete in tournaments and represent our country — but have practically stopped paying any attention to what is happening. That is deeply disappointing.

We cannot do anything about it, we cannot change it. The only thing we can do is act in kind — stop paying attention to men’s tennis.

This is an emotional decision, and most likely many won’t understand it. We ourselves understand perfectly well that we are just a small Telegram channel and a small tennis website in Ukraine, and probably none of the players will even notice. But this is our decision.

We will not write about Ukrainian men’s tennis until our players remember what is happening in our country — and thanks to whom and why they are still able to represent Ukraine.
