Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of July 3, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.



(1) Russian forces continue ceasefire violation in the war zone in eastern Ukraine and opened fire 20 times upon Ukrainian troops positions there: 5 times on Luhansk direction, 7 times on Donetsk direction and 8 times on Mariupol direction;
(2) Luhansk direction: Russian shelling with the use of mortars took place in Krymske; the enemy violated ceasefire several times on Stanytsya Luhanska – Zhovte front direction;
(3) Donetsk direction: Russian occupiers launched attacks all along the frontline, exept of Svitlodarska line and Donetsk irport; the hottest spot reported in Zaytseve where the enemy fulfilled 2-hours-long shelling with the use of mortars; a series of shootout between Russian forces and Ukrainian troops took place near Avdiivka; armored vehicles have been used by Russian proxies during 40-min shelling in Verkhnyotoretsk;
(4) Mariupol direction: the heaviest Russian artillery shelling reported in Vodyane; meantime, the enemy used small arms during shelling Pavlopil, Hnutove and Lebedynske; another Russian armed provocation took place in Novotroytske;
(5) No lethal casualties reported mong Ukrainian servicemen, but 2 servicemen were wounded in action n in the war zone in eastern Ukraine during the last 24 hours.
