Night explosions in Russia: drones hit strategic targets

According to Flot2017, the Russian Federation suffered powerful drone strikes on the night of June 6. The attacks targeted strategically important military facilities in several regions of the aggressor country, causing serious damage to infrastructure.

According to the Telegram channel Astra, the targets of the nighttime attacks included:

Ryazan region: Dyagilevo — an area housing a military base where loud explosions were reported

Bryansk region: Strikes near Bryansk airport

Saratov region: Engels and Saratov — the region hosting Russia’s strategic aviation base.

The most significant consequences were from the attack in Engels, where NASA satellites recorded a massive fire at the “Kristall Plant” petroleum storage facility of the Russian Reserve.

This facility holds strategic importance for the Russian military machine as it supplies fuel to the Engels-2 airbase — one of the key bases for the occupiers’ strategic aviation.

Eyewitnesses managed to document the aftermath of the attack. In videos spreading on social media, a local resident can be heard commenting, “Two barrels are burning.” These recordings provided additional confirmation of the scale of the damage inflicted.

The governor of Saratov region acknowledged the fire but tried to downplay the incident. He limited his statement to vague wording about a “fire at one of the industrial enterprises,” deliberately avoiding mention of the specific name of the strategically important facility.

Recall that on the morning of June 4, powerful explosions were heard in Kolomna, Moscow region. According to local Telegram channels, the explosion and fire occurred near a military unit.

Earlier, Flot2017 reported that on May 28 drones struck the Kronstadt factory and the ELMA technopark. It is known that the Kronstadt factory specializes in the development and production of unmanned aerial vehicles.
