Ilver Ametov, head of the regional Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people in Sudak, is accused under three articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, including “calling for extremist activity”.

This was announced by head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov in the commentary to QHA media.

“In Crimea, the Russian invaders have started a new round of repressions against the Crimean Tatars … Ametov is accused under three articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, including “calling for extremist activity,”Chubarov said.

According to him, the search order was issued on September 26 by the so-called “Minister of the Interior” of the annexed Crimea Pavel Karanda.

Chubarov reminded that Ametov was one of the first who founded the Crimean Tatar village of Asret in 1989.
