Russians blew up the Kakhovka HPP remotely, there are facts and evidence, – representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Yusov.
“It is clear that there will be accurate estimates of the power of the explosion, how much explosives it needed. It will all be calculated. But there are irrefutable facts that ruscists moved explosives and equipment to carry out a controlled remote explosion. They have been made public more than once,” said Andriy Yusov, representative of the Defence Intelligence.
Later today, the U.S. representative at the extraordinary UNSC session on Kakhovka dam blow up, informed the disaster was fulfilled by the russian occupation forces and that the United States obtained with appropriate intelligence data and proves.

- The Russians flooded their first line of defense on the left bank of the Kherson region. The danger from explosive objects is increased in the flooded areas; enemy mines may be swept away by the current, the Ministry of Defense reports.
- At least 150 tons of engine oil got into the Dnipro, and there is a risk of further leakage of more than 300 tons, the President’s Office reported.
As of 6:00 p.m., 1,364 people were evacuated in the Kherson region. 1,335 houses were under water on the right bank. On the left bank, 7 settlements were flooded, Korsunka and Dniproany were completely flooded. This was reported by the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
Currently, civilians in the temporarily occupied settlements of the Kherson Region and Crimea are in a critical situation, as the destruction of the dam deprived them of fresh water. In addition, positions of Russian military units have been flooded, which can lead to large-scale washing of Russian landmines from their location and their chaotic detonation.
The occupiers blew up the Kakhovska HPP at night on June 6, 2023, and the water level critically rose. More than 80 settlements, including the city of Kherson, came in the zone of rapid flooding.
