During the past two weeks, the Russian army has been trying to strike Ukrainian airfields.
Yuriy Ignat, spokesman for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, told about this on the air of the telethon.
According to him, over the past two weeks, the occupiers have repeatedly tried to attack airfields in order to destroy Ukrainian aviation.
“They attacked Kropyvnytskyi Dnipro, and Starokostantyniv with Kh-22 missiles. But the Air Force knows and understands this very well. They have experience in conducting war. The planes are, of course, dispersed. They are hidden, and they continue to carry out combat tasks every day,” Ignat said.
He also noted that Russian propaganda informs about the destruction of 20 Ukrainian planes in its military reports.
“I want to note that in we lost a plane at the beginning of June. Unfortunately, this happens. This is a war, and there are losses. But we lost one plane, whereas they report about the destruction of 20 Ukrainian planes,” he emphasized.
