Kyiv repels Russian missile-drone attack for the second night in a row: debris causes fire in the capital.
There were no casualties.
During the night of August 27, air defense forces once again intercepted missiles and drones launched by the Russian army targeting Kyiv. Debris from the downed enemy projectiles caused fires in two districts of the city.
According to the Kyiv City Military Administration (KMVA), the fires in the capital covered an area of 50 square meters. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries.
The attack led to a fire in a forested area in the Dniprovskyi district, while debris also ignited a fire in a forest park zone in the Desnianskyi district.
It’s worth noting that on August 26, a massive Russian attack across Ukraine claimed the lives of seven people, two of whom later died in the hospital. Another 47 people were injured.
This night, the Russians also struck a hotel in Kryvyi Rih with a ballistic missile, killing at least two people and injuring four others.
Additionally, two people were killed, and four others were injured in Zaporizhzhia after the city was hit by “Shahed” drones. Residential buildings in the regional center were also damaged.
