The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine released the following address dedicated to 500 days of Ukraine defence.
Unique facts about Ukraine liberation war:
1. 500 days + 8 years of real combat experience: no modern army in the world has been involved in a war of such high intensity. The war unleashed by Russia in Ukraine has become the largest conflict in Europe since World War II.
2. This war can be safely considered “the first drone war”. Abundance of unmanned aerial vehicles in combat units of the Armed Forces has no analogues in the world. Unmanned aerial, ground and water vehicles are integrated into every stage of combat operations. We were the first in the world to widely use attack quadcopters and FPV drones.
3. Air defense of Ukraine for the first time in the world has combined and effectively uses the latest Western and Soviet systems, fighter aircraft and mobile groups with MANPADS.
4. The offensive operations of the Armed Forces refuted one of the fundamental postulates of military science about the need for a numerical (3-5 times) superiority in manpower and weapons during the offensive. The Ukrainian army advances and liberates the land in conditions of complete superiority of the enemy – both in weapons and in manpower.
5. 5,000 out of 42,000 women in the Armed Forces are on the line of fire.
6. We created a unique system of providing assistance to the wounded, which does not exist anywhere in the world – the Unified Medical Space. It is an association of military and civilian medical institutions and a specially developed logistics system that covers the entire territory of the state and uses all types of transport. The result – up to 82% of wounded Ukrainian soldiers return to service after rehabilitation.
80% of wounded receive proper care during the so-called golden hour.

7. Professional and careful planning of offensive operations by our command results in a unique fact – the attacking side suffers much smaller losses than the one on the defensive
8. The Ukrainian military shot down the hypersonic Russian Kinzhal missile for the first time. The enemy target was destroyed with the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system.
9. “Infantry wins battles, logistics wins wars” – John Pershing, US Army General during the World War I. Our front, despite the huge length and the increase of the army by hundreds of thousands of people, is steadily replenished with food, fuel, equipment, weapons and ammunition. Logistics is competently optimized taking into account the threat of air and missile strikes.
10. “Digital weapon”. During the 500 days of the war, IT solutions were implemented to manage the battle, the operation and their comprehensive support:
– “Nettle” combat control system of the tactical unit
-”Delta” situational awareness platform
-NATO logistic operations support service “LOGFAS”
– “Eyes” project.
