Occupiers raid Crimean Tatars’ homes – head of Mejlis

Russian security forces searched for weapons and books. During the search, a 75-year-old man became unwell.

FSB officers conducted searches in four homes in the village of Ortalan (occupational name — Zemlyanychne) in Crimea.

This was reported by the head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Refat Chubarov.

“This time, the FSB punishers stormed the homes of Crimean Tatars living in the village of Ortalan (the occupiers call it Zemlyanychne) in the Karasuvbazar/Bilogirsk district. In four Crimean Tatar homes, the punishers searched for weapons and other prohibited items, including books listed in the banned lists,” the message states.

One of the targets of the occupiers was the home of the parents of Crimean Tatar journalist Gulsum Khalilova, who works for the ATR television channel.

“The punishers who stormed the Khalilov family ignored the information that 75-year-old Khalilov Khalil had been seriously ill for several days and was bedridden. Armed FSB officers in masks searched all rooms in the house and seized all electronic devices, including phones,” Chubarov noted.

The FSB blocked all entrances to the yard. During the search, the elderly man’s health sharply worsened, and he was taken to the hospital.

As a reminder, Zelensky responded to whether Trump had demanded Crimea be recognized as Russian.
