Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant is once again in a high-risk danger zone.
“Energoatom” reports that yesterday, Russian forces damaged the power supply line of the Zaporizhzhia NPP, which connects the plant to Ukraine’s energy system and supplies it with power for its own needs.
Currently, the plant is connected to the Ukrainian energy system by only one power transmission line.
If this second line is damaged, an emergency situation could arise due to the loss of external power to the pumps that cool the reactor cores and spent fuel pools at the plant.
The damaged line will be repaired as soon as specialists are guaranteed safety.
