Ukraine is ready to participate in consultations with the EU regarding the situation surrounding the transit of oil from Russia's Lukoil

This was stated by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Heorhii Tykhyi, during a briefing.

He noted that Ukraine values its cooperation with all its European neighbors and is grateful for their contribution to sanction pressure on Russia and maintaining regional stability.

“We confirm our readiness to join consultations within the framework of the early warning mechanism according to the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement if the European Commission decides to implement this addendum,” Tykhyi said.

It is worth noting that Hungary and Slovakia received exemptions from the EU-wide ban on importing Russian oil following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. However, Kyiv recently ordered the cessation of Lukoil’s oil product transit through the Druzhba pipeline.
