The negotiations between Ukraine and the United States, which began today in Saudi Arabia, have been ongoing for almost four years.

In Jeddah, Ukraine is represented by the Head of the Presidential Office, Yermak, his deputy, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sybiha, and the Minister of Defense Umerov. On the American side, the delegation includes U.S. Secretary of State Rubio and the U.S. President’s National Security Advisor, Voltz.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the key topics of the meeting are the path to peace and bilateral relations between Ukraine and the United States.

Yermak noted that the meeting started constructively and that the parties are discussing the approach to a just and lasting peace.

During a break, when asked by journalists how the meeting was going, Voltz responded, “We are making progress,” while Yermak wrote that “the work continues.”
