Odesa came under massive russian air strike last nigh. Russian strategic TU-22 bombers from Mozdok airfield launch several waves of Kh-22 hypersonic missiles; Onyx missiles launched reported from the territory of the occupied Crimea & Kalibr missiles have been launched from the Black Sea zone from around 2 a. m. last night.

Several powerful explosions rang out in Odesa around 1 a.m. during an air alert. The command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the recording of launches of “Kalibr” cruise missiles and “Onyx” supersonic anti-ship missiles carried out by the enemy in the direction of the southern regions of Ukraine.
As Serhiy Bratchuk, the spokesman of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, noted, this missile attack was a combined one.
Sources say there are many victims and damages. Civilian infrastructure destroyed. The Transfiguration Cathedral in Odesa is hardly damaged.

Odesa Spaso-Transfiguration Cathedral was build in 1808. For the 1st time the Cathedral was destroyed by the Kremlin & communists in 1936, after the seizure of Ukraine. For the 2d time,after 87 years, the Cathedral was destroyed again by Moscow in 2023 on July23.


In addition to significant damages to the building of Transfiguration Cathedral in Odesa the Kasperov Icon of the Mother of God were damaged. It used to be the patroness of Odesa. The icon was retrieved from under the rubble.

The head of Odesa regional military administration reported that 6 residential buildings, including multi-apartment buildings, were destroyed.
He also mentioned that two architectural monuments, a temple, were damaged. Dozens of cars were mutilated. Many buildings have broken windows, damaged roofs and facades.

In addition, Zhvanetsky Boulevard in the center of the city, the House of Scientists – a monument of national importance – and several other buildings located nearby were also damaged by the shelling.
