Russia – Ukraine war updates: daily briefings as of January 26, 2018

Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of  January 26, 2018 by ATO HQ operational data and Ministry of Defence spokesman on ATO issues: EMPR highlights.

(1) Russian hybrid forces launched 3 attacks against Ukrainian troops positions in the war zone in eastern Ukraine (all on Donetsk direction), includinf shelling with the forbidden by the Minsk agrrements 120-mm mortars.

(2) Donetsk direction: Russian proxies launched 40-min long shelling against Ukrainian troops positions in Vodyane with the use of grenade launchers of different systems. The enemy fired in Novotroytske with forbidden 120-mm mortars during half an hour and released 10 high caliber rounds upon Ukrainian troops positions. To this end, Russian occupiers attack with the use of 82-mm mortars reported in Pavlopol.

(3) 2 Ukrainian servicemen were wounded in action in the war zone over the past day.
