Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of March 1, 2019 by Joint forces operation HQ data: EMPR highlights.




(1) Russian hybrid forces launched 13 attacks in the war zone in eastern Ukraine for the past day. The enemy used forbidden 122-mm artillery, 120-mm and 82-mm mortars and released 143 shells and mines upon Ukrainian troops positions.

(2) Russian proxies used the following weaponry in the East area:

forbidden 122-mm artillery – near the settlement of Lebedynske (2 times), near Vodyane (2 times),

forbidden 120-mm mortar launchers – near Shyrokino, near the settlement of Lebedynske (2 times), near Vodyane (2 times),

forbidden 82-mm mortar launchers – near Shyrokino, near the settlement of Lebedynske (2 times), in the area of Hnutove,

automatic easel grenade launchers – near Vodyane (2 times),

grenade launchers of different systemsd – near Shyrokino, in the area of Hnutove,

high caliber machine guns – near Shyrokino, near the settlement of Lebedynske (2 times),

(3) Russian forces used the following types of weaponry during attacks in the North area:

forbidden 122-mm artillery – near the village of Novozvanivka, in the area of Zolote-4,

forbidden 120-mm mortar launchers – near the village of Troytske, near the city of Popasna, in the area of Zolote-4,

forbidden 82-mm mortar launchers – in the area of the settlement of Shumy,

infantry fighting vehicles – in the area of Zolote-4,

grenade launchers of different systems – near Zolote-4, Hutir Vilnuy,

automatic easel grenade launchers – near Lobacheve,

high caliber machine guns – Hutir Vilnuy,

small arms – near Hutir Vilnuy.

(4) Russian forces losses over the last 24rhours are as follows: 1 killed in action and 3 wounded in actions.

(5) No lethal casualties as well as no wounded in actions reported among Ukrainian servicemen for the last 24 hours.
