Russia wants to blow up the Zaporizhzhia NPP so that the world pressures Ukraine to stop the conflict, said the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyi believes that the russian authorities want to blow up the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant in order to destabilized Ukraine, as well as for the world to put pressure on Kyiv, demanding an end to this conflict.
He stated this in an interview with the American television channel NBC News.
“Russia wants to blow up the [Zaporizhzhia] NPP. Because, just as with the [Kakhovskaya] dam, they are not interested in the security situation in Ukraine. They constantly need destabilization here, and they want the world to put pressure on Ukraine to stop this conflict,” the Zelenskyi said.
According to Zelenskyi, the transfer of Western equipment to Ukraine in small batches only prolongs the duration of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
“If military equipment, which is currently on the balance sheet of our partners, is handed over to us en masse, we will win faster,” added the President.
