The east of Ukraine remains the epicenter of hostilities. Ukrainian troops switched from defense to offensive in the Bakhmut sector.
This was officially reported by the MoD Deputy head Hanna Maliar today.
Over the past day, we have advanced from 200 to 1,100 meters in various front sections in the Bakhmut sector, – she says.
The enemy has switched to the defensive, trying to hold out. It is drawing its reserves from the depth for protection.
The Wagner Group’s mercenaries remain in the rear units in some places. As of now, the RF regular army is conducting combat operations with participation of its airborne assault force units.
Our troops manage to hold the defense for so long and now to advance in the Bakhmut sector thanks to the fortifications prepared in advance. The entire surrounding area is actually a fortified section. Reliable strong fortifications were built in advance by our troops and local military administrations.
It is also know, that just during this morning the following russian forces position were hit by the Armed Forces of Ukraine fire:
- occupied Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia Oblast,
- occupied Tokmak, Donetsk Oblast,
- occupied Tavriisk, Kherson Oblast,
- Kursk region, russia,
- Belgorod region, russia,
- Bryansk region, russia.
