On Russia’s aggression in the Sea of Azov

The current Russian aggression in the Sea of Azov and the blocking of Ukrainian ports, in Information Resistance group’s opinion, is a “multi-trend” move in the spirit of the Kremlin.

The current Russian aggression in the Sea of Azov and the blocking of Ukrainian ports is a “multi-trend” move in the spirit of the Kremlin, based on Kyiv’s blackmail for solving strategic issues related to ensuring the vital activities of the Black Sea military base of the Russian Federation – the occupied Crimea. Such opinion presented by the head of Information Resistance group – Dmytro Tymchuk.
The logic is simple. The blocking of the ports is projected to result in multi-million losses for the Ukrainian economy and the loss of thousands of jobs in the Zaporizhzhya and Donetsk regions (both ports, fishermen, and all sectors that are tied to maritime exports and imports). Complication and rise in the cost of logistics, and, as a result, a blow to the competitiveness of Ukrainian business – an important factor for the Russian Federation to destabilize the situation in the region. With the subsequent exit to Kiev – “the current Ukrainian government is to blame for everything”.
In parallel, we see the untwisting of the map of the “Ukrainian terrorist threat” for the Crimea (a message for the West), and attempts to destabilize the situation in the Kherson region (a message for the “Kyiv junta”).
Why does Putin need this?
The most obvious answer is to sit down Kiev at the negotiating table and try to knock out the renewal of the water supply in Crimea under any pretext. For the occupiers – this is a very big problem. The analysis of IP-Crimea on this case is in the link below:
… We once again stand on the verge of massive pressure from the Kremlin in all areas – political and military, economic, “humanitarian”, using all means of Russian special services – from agents in the regions and Ukrainian politics, to paid “friends of Russia” in international organizations. The aggression of Russians in the Sea of Azov is not the first vile attempt of the Russian Federation to push a knife in the back of Ukraine.
