NSC news & analysis center briefing at 12:30 June 24, 2015: highlights

News & Analysis Center of the National Security Council of Ukraine presents the latest updates from the conflict zone in eastern Ukraine on June 24, 2015 at its daily briefing.

(1) Mariupol direction: intensification of shelling in the area of Shyrokyne;

(2) Donetsk direction: active comabats continued in the area of Donetsk airport round-the-clock. Shelling also spotted at the villages of Maryinka, Pysky and Opytne. Militants fired residential settlements with the use of 122-mm artilery. Maryinka remains under militants fire round-the-clock;

(3) Luhansk direction: tense situation remains along the Bakhmytovska highway, militants fired at the villages of Novotashkyvske with 150-mm artilery. The enemy fired the urban settlements of Popasna and Lozove. There are high threat of casualties among civilians there. Schastya and Stanytsya Luhanska remain under militants's shelling as well;

(4) Over the last 24 hours 7 enemy's UAV's were spotted over the conflict zone in eastern Ukraine;

(5) Ukraine border guards spotted 3 airjets SU25 over temporary occupied Crimea, and 1 Russian helicopter across the Russia-Ukraine border in the north Chernyhiv Oblast;

(6) No lethal casualties in the last 24 hours, but 4 Ukrainian servicemen got wounded;

(7) SBU detained acting head of Volnovakha Road Police, he suspected in supporting DPR militants and he coordinated pro-Russian subversive groups. 3 more pro-Russian militants were detained in Mariupol.
