Ukraine export more than USD 100 mln worth of honey

Ukraine has exported 53.7 thousand tons of honey for a total of USD 103.2 mln over the past year, the press service of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine reports.

In January-October 2017, Ukraine has exported 53.7 thousand tons of honey for a total of USD 103.2 mln.

The main importer of Ukrainian honey was the United States. Thus, in the US honey was delivered at USD 24.7 mln.

The second place is occupied by Germany. In the first 10 months of this year, honey was delivered to Germany for a total of USD 24.6 mln.

Poland takes the third place in the list of the largest importing countries of Ukrainian honey. The export of honey to Poland following the results of 10 months of 2017 amounted to USD 14.4 mln.

It is also noted that for 10 months of this year, Ukraine imported honey for USD 155 thousand.

Recall that in 2016, 19 countries in Europe bought honey from Ukraine. Last year, the leaders in the import of Ukrainian honey were Germany (18,482 tons), Poland (10,920 tons) and France (2,310 tons).

Over the past 5 years, the world import of Ukrainian honey has increased by 32% and continues to grow.
