Why doesn’t the whole World consider Putin a criminal?

Why doesn't the whole World consider Putin a criminal?

Alas, the question is getting increasingly pressing. We have actually gotten used to Orban and Fico. But Romania, the Czech Republic, Germany, France and so on are generating their own Orbans. For example, political leaders in Africa are almost completely infected with Orbanism, the main symptoms of which are abnormal respect for Putin as a “defender of the interests of his own country” and demands to stop supporting Ukraine and give it to the aggressor.

But can the FSB really recruit so many famous people? Politicians – yes, but not those who vote for them. So, there’s an objective process that must be understood. Please note that at the time the USSR attacked Afghanistan, there was no prominent person in democratic countries who would call to stop supporting the mujahideen, who by no means looked like democrats at all. But there are quite a few against us.

And it’s not just because we have corruption and oppression of democratic freedoms. Most of those who oppose supporting Ukraine don’t care about these freedoms and the rule of law.

The late 20th and early 21st centuries were marked by the peak of globalism: it was considered almost official mainstream, and tricks with gender identity and digital control of life (“digital concentration camp”) became an almost inevitable reality. Not everyone liked it, because people in many countries didn’t know who to protest against and how to protest. Because the UN, WHO, WTO, EU, NATO and other similar global organizations turned into bureaucratic fortresses – you can neither influence them nor hide from them. And the cannibalistic form of “fighting Covid” imposed by the globalists opened the eyes of almost everyone.

And then the Kremlin’s Fuhrer crawled out of his suitcase and onto the arena. He declared that Russia is so great that it doesn’t want to live by rules formulated by others. And the first and foremost Russian rule is “We will do anything, and we will not be punished for it.”

And this approach of “we can do anything, as long as it is wrapped in national interests” really appealed to those who were scared of innovations and the stupidity of globalists. Therefore, in many countries, those who do not want to live by the rules, who like to deliberately break them, began to raise their heads. And there are always such people, and they can be either extreme right or extreme left. And Putin became for them not just a leader, but a kind of role model.

Therefore although the unconditional primacy of the national over the international is quite appropriate in some cases, in the world as a whole it generates chaos and conflicts, including a potential nuclear catastrophe.

After D. Trump had started to destroy the world order built on rules, the process of moving away from globalism-liberalism in the world acquired the characteristics of an avalanche and was called “Trumpism” (I would also add “Putinism”). This is both a hidden protest against liberal perversions, a painful tendency to simple solutions, and a reliance on brute force as the most reliable tool for achieving the goal.

And here Ukraine is fiercely fighting back against the military pressure of a much larger country, it is effectively resisting brute force and insisting on the implementation of international rules and regulations, in particular, on the inviolability of borders and the punishment of the aggressor! And this really irritates anti-globalists and radicals of all kinds, nationalists, first of all. Because it destroys the world of Trumpism-Putinism that is understandable to them, where the strong have the right to oppress and even destroy the weak, and the weak have no right to even defend themselves.

By the way, the requirement “Do not stop me from oppressing you” originates from crime. That is, to summarize, instead of a high-tech digital concentration camp, Trumpism-Putinism imposes on us an ordinary jail-zone with convicts and guards.

The only option to change the attitude of adherents of modern anti-globalism towards Ukraine is to become victorious. If we not only resist, but achieve our goal in the war with the failed empire, then all sorts of Orbans with Ficos will change their hatred of Ukraine into flattering respect. Because they respect only strength.
