Missile terror against Ukraine on the night of April 24, 2025.

The Russian Armed Forces carried out another combined massive missile attack on the territory of Ukraine, using 215 means of destruction, including 70 missiles of various types and 145 Shahed-136/“Gerbera”/“Parody” drones.

During the attack, the following were used:
– 11 ballistic missiles 9M723/KN-23, of which 7 were shot down;
– 37 Kh-101 cruise missiles, of which 31 were shot down;
– 6 Iskander-K cruise missiles;
– 12 3M14 “Kalibr” cruise missiles, of which 6 were shot down;
– 4 guided air-launched missiles Kh-59/Kh-69 – all were shot down;
– 145 Shahed-136/“Gerbera”/“Parody” kamikaze drones, of which 64 were shot down and 68 were lost from radar tracking.

The previous missile strike by the Russian Armed Forces took place on April 6 and was of a combined but limited nature — 23 missiles. Before that, on March 7, there were 54 missiles launched. In other words, about two and a half weeks have passed since the last strike.

It is evident that the current missile terror is directly linked to the collapse of peace negotiations, during which Ukraine was pressured to give up its temporarily occupied territories. Since Ukraine has taken a firm stance — no compromise on territorial integrity — missile terror has been used as a tool of pressure and coercion.

But it’s important to understand that such massive, combined missile strikes are not carried out spontaneously — they are prepared in advance, planned carefully, with munitions stockpiled, missile flight routes charted, and so on. It’s a complex process that takes considerable time, which means that Russia never truly intended to “negotiate” with Ukraine — its objective has always been coercion through violence and bloodshed.

The Kremlin fully understood that Kyiv would never agree to recognize the temporarily occupied regions and the peninsula as Russian territory. Still, they will continue to pursue this goal through terror directed at the rear and against the civilian population.

But how is the terror of 2025 any different from that of 2022, 2023, or 2024?

It’s not. The goals and objectives remain the same. The only difference is that the maniacs can’t seem to launch missiles every single day.
